Tournament Schedule

Depending on the number of teams the schedule and length of each game will be decided after the registration deadline

IMPORTANT

Each game has a set time slot, therefore all teams need to be ready to play at the designated rink in good time before set game time. Referees are required to start each game on time. The game timer will be started by the referee even if teams are not ready. The game timer is also used as count down timer and set by the score keepers at the end of each game. It will tell you how much time you have until your game starts. Warm up space is available on the rink!  Also to get a smooth start to the tournament have all other requirements taken care of before game day, Insurance, licence, Roster, Shoot out roster, Personal gear (GOALIES) etc.

Tournament Layout:

Round Robin:

Games will be structured as 2x10 or 2x15 min regulation periods (2 minute intermission only).

The clock will only be stopped during the last 2 minutes if the score is within 2 goals difference.  Or at the referees discretion (serious injury etc). All teams are guaranteed 3 round robin games.

Playoffs:

Playoff games will be structured as 2x15 or 2x20 min regulation periods with a 3 min intermission.

If necessary to determine a winner, there will be a 5 min sudden death overtime (No intermission between end of regulation and start of sudden) followed by shoot out (no intermission between end of sudden and start of shoot out – home team starts). Shoot outs will include 3 opportunities per team, followed by 1 opportunity per team until a winner is decided.

All teams are guaranteed 1 play off game.

Each team is allowed 5 players and 1 goalie on the rink at a time. Games are played according to the international floorball federations rule book (Download the rules at www.floorball.org) and each game will have 2 referees.
